Windmill Cottage was once a traditional English pub and has recently been thoughtfully renovated into comfortable guest accommodation. Privately owned, your host lives onsite to personally welcome you and offer help with local recommendations, directions, and anything else you may need. We take pride in offering a warm, friendly, and helpful experience for every guest.

Ideally located just off the main route in and out of the city, Windmill Cottage is a short walk from Ely city centre, the train station, and the riverside area. You’ll find a great selection of local pubs, restaurants, and attractions nearby, with the Ely Tourist Information Centre also within easy walking distance. The cottage is perfectly positioned for transport links to local business parks, the A10, and the A14.

We stayed two nights in this very comfortable apartment. Robert, our host, was very responsive on WhatsApp and even picked us up from the train station! The apartment was very clean, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was nice. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a yummy bag of cookies waiting for us. We appreciated the microwave to heat up leftovers. We were able to leave our luggage on our last day until we left in the early afternoon. The location is great, just a short walk into the heart of Ely. This was really one of the best apartments we’ve ever had through booking.com. Highly recommended!

Friendly host, great communication, lovely place and uneventful peaceful weekend away

The location was great, although on a main road we heard very little noise from the road.Rob met us on arrival he was very nice showed us the place, even messaged before we arrived telling us he would get milk so we could have coffee on arrival. He even bought biscuits that was a lovely touch. The flat was small but perfectly formed had everything we could need and more. The bed was one of the best we have had and we have now stayed in a few Airbnb’s. Another bonus is Rob’s place has off road parking. A definite plus for the area as parking is at a premium. So in all we would definitely recommend this place and would not hesitate to stay again..

Clean comfortable convenient

Convenient location, clean, comfortable cottage. Parking was easy and off the street. Bed was comfy. Handy to have a kitchen. The host was friendly and helpful. The bedroom and living room are large. Much better option than a hotel.
